Amy Schumer is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of the Emmy and Peabody Award winning Inside Amy Schumer, the popular Comedy Central television series which premiered in April 2013 to the network’s highest season premiere ratings of the year. Schumer’s provocative and hilariously wicked mind is on full display as she explores topics revolving around sex, relationships, and the general clusterf*ck that is life through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man-on-the-street interviews.
Schumer can next be seen in her one-hour HBO comedy special, “Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo,” directed by Chris Rock premiering on October 17th.
Schumer’s first book was recently purchased by the Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books and is set to be released in late 2016. It was the highest advance that the publishing house has given to a female author.
Schumer recently wrote and starred in “Trainwreck” which premiered this summer. Additional film credits include “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” starring Steve Carrell and Kiera Knightley, as well as “Price Check”, an independent feature opposite Parker Posey which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
Schumer is a founding member of The Collective, a New York based Theatre Company, and a graduate of The William Esper studio where she studied for 3 years.
LEESA EVANS is a true purveyor of style: from her work as a costume designer for film to her dedication as a private stylist for celebrities and professional clients. Her personal philosophy and professional inspiration are drawn from a lifelong commitment to fashion, individuality, and the art of storytelling.
Raised in Laguna Beach, the daughter of a couture designer, Leesa grew up in the fashion industry, where she spent her formative years at runway shows and mingling with her mother’s high-profile clientele. It was there that Leesa experienced firsthand the intricacies of the fashion world. She went on to spend the first part of her career working alongside her mother, gaining extensive experience in clothing design, manufacturing, as well as the retail business.
When Leesa was given the opportunity to work with a costume designer in 1989, she found her true calling. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the craft of costume design and styling for film, commercial advertising, and celebrities. Leesa’s work gives her ability to nurture her own passion for fabric, color, and design, while instilling a sense of confidence, ownership, and originality in every actor and private client she dresses.
Leesa’s credits include over 25 films, such as Bridesmaids, which she was nominated for a Costume Designer Guild Award for Excellence in Contemporary Film, Neighbors, 22 Jump Street, Get Him to the Greek, I Love You, Man, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and This is 40. She has more than 500 television commercials under her belt, for brands including CocaCola, AT&T, Verizon, HP, Samsung, GM, Ford, Mastercard, Porsche, Olay and Kelloggs.
In 2016 Leesa was named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood” for her red carpet styling for celebrity client Amy Schumer. She has styled several of her celebrity clients for editorial features in major publications such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, GQ, People, Nylon and InStyle.
“I love to create the feeling of confidence when dressing someone,” she says. “Whether it’s a character who needs to exude authority and influence or an individual I’m working with one-on-one who wants to be more confident. It delights me to know I’ve helped someone feel amazing in their life.”
Leesa is bi-coastal between New York and Los Angeles.
